Notes
NGR is approximate, lying roughly midway between Rettie, Baldavie and Raggal, all of which are mentioned as lying in the barony of Montbrey in RMS: baronia de Monbray contained 'Littill Raty' and 'Mekle Raty' in 1537 (RMS iii no. 1711). This must be Rettie, in Boyndie, NJ6363. In 1556 Baldavy was 'in Baronia de Monbray', which is NJ6261 (RMS iv no. 1095). In 1576 'terre et molendinum de Regallis inn nbaronia de Mumbray' refers to Ragall NT6261 (RMS iv no. 2535).

Parish notes
The parish appears in several taxation rolls but is otherwise unnoted, evidently ceasing to have parochial status at quite an early date (Cowan 1967, 153-4).
