Notes
NMRS records a tradition that the aiseag 'ferry' was used by the saint to cross from Skye to Applecross, where his monastery was. Also a legend that a bell of St Maolrubha was hung on a tree beside the church. Nearby Tobar Ashik ('the well of the ferry' or 'of Aiseag') has a legend connecting it with the saint. The feast of St Maolrubha used to be kept onn 27 Aug. at Broadford (La Maolruaidhe).
