Notes
The existence of this chapel is known, for example, from Scon. Lib. no. 27 (Kelcassin). Its location approximately here is inferred from the modern settlement name Killiechassie. Now in Weem, the settlement of Kilchassie is shown on OS 6 inch 1st edn (1867) in a detached portion of Logierait. The existence of this detached portion is probably to be understood as the result of the fact that it formed the capel-lands of Killiechassie, which were among the pertinents of the church of Logierait, which together with that church were granted to Scone Abbey by earl Malcolm of Atholl, confirmed by William I (1189 x 1199) (Scon. Lib. no. 27).
