Notes
This is the remains of the medieval church, where some Norman material survives. There is, or was, another St Bride's parish Church, the modern working one, nearby (now seems to be "Douglas Valley Church"--perhaps a result of a recent uniting with another nearby church?) From 1961 until 1993, the former Dower House of Douglas Castle, near St Bride's Old Church, was converted into an Episcopal Church, St Sophia's. It is now the Douglas Heritage Museum.
