Dictionary of Scottish Architects (on line): Built as a medical college at the end of the 18th century by a Dr Malcolm; reconstructed as St Margaret's Episcopal College, appearing thus on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey Map (1866). Bought by the Trustees of Morrisons Academy as a temporary house and boarding house for the rector until the Academy was completed in 1878.
