Notes

The site, according to legend, is that of the birth-place of St Mungo, whose Life has him born here and raised by St Serf in Culross. NMRS records a two chambered chapel, founded in 1503 by Robert Blackadder, Archbishop of Glasgow, probably on the site of an earlier chapel. A stone bowl was found here.
