Notes
The name was applied to a pre-historic chambered cairn in the nineteenth century, presumably in the belief that its remains are those of a chapel. It stands on the hillside overlooking the Clachan of Glendaruel and the medieval kirkyard of Kilmodan, which lie 800 metres to the west. NMRS describes the Clyde-type chambered cairn and says there is no evidence of a chapel having stood here.
