A large stone with Norman detail is built into the foundation of the church. The church is said to be dedicated to St Kentigern in NAS RH6/577 (1493). Note also a reference in the 1560s to: 'the rentale lyand to Sanct Mungois altare in Currie' (Assumption, 139).
