Notes
St Marnock's Chapel (Chapell of Sanctmernock) is rented to James Hepburne of Rowandstoun and his wife, along with 'the toun and landis of Balquhormock', shown at about NT120253 on Pont 26 (Lower Angus and Perthshire East of the Tay). The NGR given for the chapel is based on the assumption that it is on the lands of Balchormack, but this is by no means certain. Note that Robert I wrote to Scone Abbey for permission to use stone from the quarries of Kincarrathie and Balcormac for the kirk of Perth and the bridges of Perth and Earn (RRS v no. 350).
