The chapel is referred to in 1725 as 'The Chappel of Findon' (Geog. Coll. i, 108). NMRS records that there are no remains here now but notes OS Name Book report: 'The site was pointed out by R Walker who removed the foundations some years ago'. A field situated to the north of the site is called 'Chapel Bank'. Name Book 1864.
