Notes
The name is still in local use (a local ramblers' association used it recently - 2017- on their website) though it is not clear what exactly they referred to, and it is not marked on modern OS maps. The NGR offered here is that of St Agnes's modern church, which may or may not lie on the site of Killingeane. It is remarkable however that the spot lies at the bottom of a hill called Knocktaggart ('priest's hill') which suggests the location may be close.
