For discussion of name, see Watson 1904, 85. Kiltearn was an independent parsonage in 1274; had been erected into a prebend of Ross by 1445. 1561x1566 there is mention of a chaplainry of Saint Monanis at Kiltearn [OPS ii pt.2, 404] No changes noted in Shennan 1892.
