Notes

NGR for site of medieval kirk where NMRS records 'a slab with two incised Celtic crosses, built into the Tilquilly vault in the chuchyard'. There are no visible remains of the medieval kirk. Also note an early medieval ring-headed cross embedded in a wall nearby at NO705957, and nearby St Ternan's Well. Medieval records show that there was a St Ternan's Bell here, with a dewar (deòradh) responsible for it, with associated revenues and lands (Deray Croft). See Márkus 2009, 136-8.
