Annexed to the provostry of Lincluden by 1494 (ADC 333), the church was already a vicarage in 1275 (Bagimond, 105) and it thus appears that the parsonage had originally pertained to the nunnery of Lincluden, thence passing to the college in 1389 and so remaining. For more refs. see Cowan 1967, 34.
